In light of me
He misses the sunlight
crowning a morning horizon
when the moonlit night before
peeled back its page
turning the light out
over the ocean waves
he spilt the delight of Your faith
upon Your grave
though You rose
yeah on that same day
he did mistake you for
a gardener anyway
so hold the sun
above Your head
there's still no halo
and he'd kiss your feet instead
cause all Your light is
untransfigured
as a crown beneath your feet
not on Your head
This is the Son
light your candles
illuminating His horizons
evermore
I love the sunlight
I am the one who missed its haze
until today
He is the sunlight
and He turned another page
in light of me
With a crown of thorns
and halos at His feet
He misses the sunlight
crowning a morning horizon
when the moonlit night before
peeled back its page
turning the light out
over the ocean waves
he spilt the delight of Your faith
upon Your grave
though You rose
yeah on that same day
he did mistake you for
a gardener anyway
so hold the sun
above Your head
there's still no halo
and he'd kiss your feet instead
cause all Your light is
untransfigured
as a crown beneath your feet
not on Your head
This is the Son
light your candles
illuminating His horizons
evermore
I love the sunlight
I am the one who missed its haze
until today
He is the sunlight
and He turned another page
in light of me
With a crown of thorns
and halos at His feet
